Where to find the Studio?

Just look out for the blue letterbox and a hedge on the right, down the driveway you will see a black box which is the garden studio where the magic happens.

The Building Project

People tell me they love the studio and ask where did I get it. Well after waiting very patiently for local builders to come back with quotes, to no avail, we stumbled across some timber pods under construction in Napier.

Upon investigation, we discovered we could have one custom built within the month and transported to the site. Too easy. Luckily we were away the day it was craned onto the site as I'm sure it was rather hair-raising with trees and buildings to narrowly avoid.

I set to shortly after, liming the interior ply and staining the exterior board and batten - plenty splashed where it shouldn't be but luckily there was enough to finish. Nothing like a bit of DIY to save some money.

My partner finished the studio with a fabulous timber deck, a much improved transition from the house, which prompted customers to suggest a weekly open afternoon, ideal for the quieter months here in Gizzy.
